Overnight Heat

#1

Post: # 54111Post Carl »

'An infernal night! It has been, without a doubt, the warmest night of the entire summer. In some areas of the city, we not only didn't drop below 30ºC, but we even reached around 38ºC at midnight with a very hot wind that hit gusts of 60 km/h.'

For comparison with other areas overnight:

'#HappyThursday! Phew, unbearable, suffocating, infernal night. Between the early hours and dawn on Thursday (08/20/2026), the thermometers HAVE NOT dropped below 30ºC in wide areas of the southeast of the #IberianPeninsula. And in some cases down to 32.5ºC. Tropical climate feature, tremendous.'

At least we have aircon. It's only ' unbearable and suffocating' if you leave all your windows and doors open and let all the heat in, like most of the tourists !!

Spare a thought for the UK where aircon is almost non - existent for the vast majority. The above headlines could equally apply there.

Those temperatures are unbearable and not good for man nor beast. There would be a lot of people in Torrevieja who wouldn't have aircon either BB.

People are still sunbathing by the pool on our community in temperatures in excess of 33ºC. Must go home with a suntan, no matter what. !!
