I wonder why Torrevieja is spelled incorrectly on the Header boxes of this Forum (TORREBIEJA)

The forum heading is spelt correctly, I never even thought that the 'v' looked like a 'b' until this thread.

Never been sure what the right way of pronoucing Torrevieja actually is. Everyone seems to add a slight twist when prouncing it, and those that are unsure seem to mumble the name to hide the fact.

According to Google it should be pronounced:

"Taw-reh-vee-EH-hah"

Grok AI says:

"Tor-reh-VYEH-hah"

And if you listen to radio presenter Simon Morton on Sunshine FM, to me it always sounds like it ends with 'her' or 'ker' - I guess it the emphasis on the Spanish 'j' being pronounced as an 'h' 'being then followed by the last letter 'a' ?

Well, whatever way it's pronounced, any of the above is better than how some of our Southern Irish friends say it " Torry-Veeja " !!!

Guardamar is another word if not pronounced correctly will have some Spanish scratching their heads.
