Black Lives Matter

Yes they do.

But so does history.

Today a professor from Birmingham stated Churchill and Hitler were the same and his statue should be removed. So should Nelson as he was racist.
George Washingtons should be removed in USA as he was racist.

And now HBO has banned the showing of "Gone with the wind" and the BBC has stopped streaming of shows like little britain and come fly with me.

Madness, and censorship.

The world has gone fecking mad, Jimbo.

I knew that the world would never be the same after Covid 19 ... but a death of a black man in America has surpassed all that. !!

No normal blackman, a drugged up career criminal held up as a martyr
And as for tearing down the statue of winston churchill and calling him a nazi, if it wasnt for churchill hitler might have won the war, ruled over europe and gassed all blacks along with the jews, then the prof would not exist, so he should be thanking him not condemning
And dont get me started on neflix , i am still upset about little britain :(

I agree with you jimny1 100%, but we are out of our league here my friend.

All we can do is rant and rave while watching the world destroy itself.

But hey.. The weather here is always good and the brandy`s cheap ...

I wondered how long it would be before the middle aged expats came out bitching whats going on isn't just about 1 mans death on the streets and due to technology is there for the world to see this has been going on for 100s of years the world hasn't gone mad...the world has been mad for centuries allowing this to continue unabated, you can go back to the slavers, you can go back to the days of Dr Martin luther king and Malcolm x,the windrush scandal, the KKK murders deaths in custody at the hands of the police in the USA it cannot be ignored any longer.

Blah blah blah blah blah blah .. !!!

I know all about blacks .. My mother was black and all my relatives on her side are black. My sister is married to a black man and I know all about slavery.

I was trying to put things into perspective and you must have seen how dark I was when you met me. ;)

And by the way, I'm not middle aged, I'm 75 which is considered old. !

Do you realise all you quoted happened in the USA, including the criminal and drug addict floyds death, not in the UK
The UK is one of the most tolerant countries in europe, welcoming all with open arms, and benefits
Why let what happens there spill out into the uk, our police are nothing like the US cops, most in the UK are mixed, white and ethnic and there have not been killings like in the US, mostly its the uk police being attacked, like the policewoman thrown from her horse because of rioters
How can defending a great politician and leader be bitching, why should i or anybody accept gangs of ferals ripping down statues and defacing monuments that have stood for hundreds of years, a second churchill statue was defiled today
Next will be riots and looting, the gangs are just waiting for a reaction from the police or politicians to justify this
But all they got was politicians bending on one knee in sympathy, which must have been a disappointment for them
I dont know who you are, but nobody who has lived in the UK or has family there would condone this, unless you are just trying to stir the proverbial
