Any end in sight
The Spanish health minister is saying that the Coranavirus is levelling out now and he is optimistic that the lockdown will relaxed on 12 April.

Re: Any end in sight
I read part of a report from Valencia today which gave some dates based on their assumptions.
The peak of ICU will start to drop by April 9th.
The lockdown will be done in stages and by region starting
May 1st then every 7 days for 4 weeks.
Link below if interested.
Your May date seems in line with them

Re: Any end in sight
That's sort of in line with what Pedro Sanchez is looking at doing' sometime today he may! extend the lock down until April 26th.

Re: Any end in sight
I warn you...if the lockdown does not work, there will come a choice...
extend the lockdown or kill the economy....
In my opinion...the weakest will have to go to the wall!!!
Sad but true....but....... the lockdown may just work......

Whatever happens, when it's finally over, the world will have changed forever, and not for the better.

Might stop the arrogance of humans though and sometimes realise life is more important than money (well for some anyway).JamesB wrote: 03 Apr 2020 19:06 Whatever happens, when it's finally over, the world will have changed forever, and not for the better.

Re: Any end in sight
Having just lost my younger brother to the virus on Wednesday, I realise that already.

JAMES B.
I had to re read your post to allow what you had written to sink in.
I cannot tell you how very sorry I am for you and all your family. This is terrible news and a great blow for all of you.
Did he die in the UK? I hope you don’t mind me asking but did he have an underlying health issue? We are given the number of deaths everyday but I find it very difficult to accept that they are all people who were loved by families and not just a number.
Again, I send you my sincerest sympathy.

Re: Any end in sight
Yes Rosiemac, he died on the UK on his birthday and yes he did have underlying health issues.
He's had extensive heart surgery and had a lung infection. He was admitted to hospital Tuesday evening but deteriorated very quickly and passed way away in the morning.
Yes he was not a well man anyway and his days may have well been numbered but his life was certainly shortened by the virus.
One of the saddest things is that his wife has to go into a two week isolation and his sister and brother ( my sister and brother ) can't console her because of it.
But it has brought myself, my remaining brother and two sisters closer together and being the eldest I have been in constant contact with them all since .. something we have not done for many years.
Thank you for your condolences.
