Your correct Fred. You can only book Alicante to Ostend - taking the scenic route to Belgium via Corvera.

I would imagine that the Murcian Regional Government must be paying some sort of subsidy to TUI Fly Belgium to include Corvera, I cannot see that this routing would be financially profitable otherwise.

When you look at all the flight timings, it would probably quicker and cheaper for TUI to bus passengers from Corvera to Alicante and vice versa, but that would mean one less plane using Corvera.

There is also a flight Alicante to Brussels within 20 minutes of the Alicante to Ostend (via Corvera). In theory you should be able to take the Brussels flight, travel from Brussels to Ostend by road and still arrive before the Alicante - Ostend (via Corvera) flight.

You can get a flight from Alicante to Covera but it goes via Dublin 5 hour flight
