Dump them. You don't need a Spanish bank a/c. Most people from UK are now using Wise. There is a thread on here about it. You can get Abaco to close your bank A/c when you have everything transferred into your new account as Spanish banks insist on you attending in person to close your account or giving someone in Spain the authority to do it for you.

Better still. I too am Irish and I transferred all my Spanish Direct Debits to my Bank of Ireland account and closed my Spanish bank account. I get free banking with BOI being on their Golden Years Account which was 55 at one time but now you have to be over 65. Wise are a Belgian Bank so no reason you can't set up an account with them.

I have used Wise for several years now.
I transfer money from my UK bank to Wise - when the rate suits me, and then all my direct debits are paid from my Wise account.
