The Olive Press have picked up on the EWN article (and backlash).

Yes, it's shame that powers to be can't shut the EWN down but I guess it's up the it's advertisers to do that.

The best thing is to ignore it on Facebook and don't bother picking up a copy if you see one at an outlet.

I see that one businessman in Benidorm has banned it at his outlets and has contacted advertisers and asked them to stop advertising in the EWN.

Wouldn't be surprised if the follow up article was put out to try mitigate the fall out from the first article, particularly from businesses that pay to advertise in the paper.

It is unfortunate that EWN bought out their competitors, so they have very little competition to maintain journalistic standards against. Reminds me of Facebook buying Instagram, kills the competition and disuades new competitors from starting up. The only people that lose out are consumer/customers/readers.

Even the Spanish government think EWN are a set of scare mongering liers, well not exactly in those words but the gist is the same.

Well It seems as if I've been a bit too forthright in my comments on their Facebook page because they have banned me.

So that's what you do .. silence your critics when they get too near the truth. !!!

I am guessing I will still have to quarantine at the end of this month when I return to UK.
