The pubs opened yesterday here in NI

Yesterday brought the opening of pubs and restaurants.I think it was commonly believed that the crowds would be back out but watching the news last night, roving reporters visited some of the big, popular bars in Belfast. I was most surprised to see that they were certainly far from busy.
I think the majority of people are still loath to get back to their old habits just yet.
Time will tell!

Some pubs on the Orihuela Costa were busy the first night that the restrictions were lifted here, but the novelty seemed to wear off overnight or people simply didn't like the atmosphere or felt uncomfortable with the new drinking arrangements.

It will take people time to accept the 'new normality'.

Reports on the news were very positive for NI and mostly England. A bit of trouble in Northampton when a landlord decided to shut early due to lack of social distancing which resulted in trouble.

Judging by the vast majority, the outcome is encouraging.
