But there is no way he is involved in this case, there are only two other people involved in this and everybody knows who that is

Yes , it seems the Germans are really grasping at straws now and are hell bent on securing a conviction, but all they are doing are making a laughing stock of themselves.

Update
The Met forgot to pass on the letters from the germans to the mccanns saying they had evidence she was dead
So either
The Met could not read the letters as they were in german so hid them to hide their embarassement
They got them translated and realised their their free hols to portugal would be at an end and binned them
The germans are lying
