Well BB there was an eclipse it's just that we didn't see the most of it because of the cloud. Yes very disappointing. We caught the end as the shadow of the moon was disappering and the sun came out again.

A bit of a non event here in Surrey from our garden as too many trees around this area, if we had gone further afield it would have been wonderful I am sure, but the roads to anywhere worth viewing were packed according to friends.

Where we live we see some lovely sunsets just from our front garden, but as soon as we settled down at about 7.45 pm as saw the cloud coming over the horizon we knew what would happen. We didn't have 'eclipse' sunglassses and as it turned out, we didn't need them anyway. But we did watch this live and it was spectacular. xx

I would say it was at least 99%.
