Really appreciate the quizzes Carl, my lack of input is not apathy but not knowing any answers.

You're not alone there stowie, plus they need expanding to see the finer details. :)

No need to apologise Stowie. Always grateful for forum feedback.

The participation in the quizzes has been declining for sometime, and the reason you put forward is probably one of the issues, along with members that used to take part no longer being active on the forum.

I obtain the questions from three different sources, and mix them for each quiz in the hope that it offers a broad range of questions across topics that members might have knowledge of. Clearly this approach is not working very well. You know when you have the answer sheet, every question seems easy to answer  !

The questions for the rest of this year/beginning of next are already drafted, but perhaps I now need to review, scrutinise and santitise them to make the quizzes more member friendly going forward.

It was suggested to me by a member a few weeks back, that because of a lack of interaction on the quizzes, that perhaps the quizzes need a break for a period of time.

Maybe a break for June, July and August, and at the same time I revisit the quizzes in draft, would be a sensible approach ?

Picture Dictionary Quiz No. 1 . Even on my PC monitor you need to expand some of the finer detail on some of the puzzles, No 6 for example. You wouldn't know that there is a coach and horses in front of the manor house unless blown up several times. Not that it makes any difference because I'm still trying to work out the answer. ( Although I may have it solved it, as the coach and horses is a vital clue ;) )

On a tablet or smart phone it would nigh on impossible.

For me it will always be luck.of the draw.what topics it covers but it's not a problem just didn't want you to think all your hard work was being greeted by apathy

Understand now.

Having gone back to source where I obtained the quiz, the size of the image on the forum is as per the source.

I have tried off-forum to sharpen the quality of the overall quiz image, but unfortunately the 'finer details' remain less than clear because the quality of the original image is not good to start with.
