Lets kick the pensioners again, not only do the UK have one of the lowest pensions in europe, so many of the elderly have died during the pandemic , so why the need to punish them further by removing the triple lock ?
The state pension age is going up every few years and no doubt because of the situation they will increase itagain sooner than planned
My wife found an article late last night stating there is a leaked document saying it is going ahead, not just being proposed, but when we tried to find the article to post here it had disappeared
Below is one from 2 days ago where it is recommended
They say its because of the huge debt the government will be left with because of the payments to businesses and individuals during the crisis and there will also be tax increases needed to reduce it, yet i was watching an interview with a government official on the BBC the other night and he was saying they are absorbing the debt through the bank of england in a way it wont rebound on taxpayers
Then the interviewer questioned if thats the case why did people have to endure years of austerity since 2008 , why couldnt this have been done the same way, he just stated this was a one off situation
I know some will say we will all have to make sacrifices, true, but i think the pensioners and their families have suffered enough to date

Re: Pensions triple lock
I just had 10% pay cut, unless a treatment or vaccine is found millions will be out of work. Hard times for all.
