Ingredients
- Olive oil
- 500g brocolli, stalks trimmed
- 5 garlic cloves, roughly chopped
- 1 - 2 red chillies, depending on your desired spice level, deseeded and sliced into matchsticks
- Salt and pepper
- 50g flaked almonds
Method
1. Heat a glug of olive oil in a large frying pan or wok over a high heat until it is nice and hot, then toss in the broccoli and cook for about 5 minutes. It is fine if it chars a little bit in places, but do not let it burn - keeping it moving a bit in the pan.
2. Add the garlic and chillies and another splash of olive oil if the pan looks dry. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for a couple of minutes, stirring.
3. Finally, add the flaked almonds and cook for 2 minutes more, until just toasted.
