Thanks el carretero. You know those photos are a great historical record when in years to come people look back on the development. I will have to wait for another bit of construction before it makes sense to me.

I wonder would they let you take a few photos of the workers on the site for the record. That man in the crane will be a legend.

Lots of things happened since the last update.
The long rusty steel shuttering pieces are now being removed, one by one. A portable crane with a hydraulic pincer machine attached grabs the shuttering from the top, a safety chain through an eye in the top of each piece is attached to the crane also, and then the crane extends vertically withdrawing the shuttering.

Lots of oblong storm drain sections have been delivered at the Paseo de la Libertad end. Not sure where these are going to be installed though.

Some of the excavated spoil is now being used to infill the gap where the steel shuttering used to be. A JCB and road roller are in the trench tamping it down. It looks like a black membrane has been attached and laid first.
Some decorative white steel tubular V´s have been erected, presumable to support a cantilever roofing section.
