chase banking app
Has anyone opened an account with Chase bank?
The ads say there are no charges for using your card abroad.
Does this mean no charges from the cash machine provider as well?
I have a wise card but get charged when using cash machines abroad.
TIA

Re: chase banking app
I mainly use my Metro bank card in Spain these days for purchases and cash withdrawals. No extra charges from Metro for either although the atm provider usually makes a charge. Best I have found is 1,80€ for withdrawals at the atm outside the card shop in Punta Marina

Travelling with Chase
You can use your Chase card to pay for things or withdraw cash outside the UK (cash withdrawal limits apply).
We don’t charge fees when you use your card abroad and we'll apply the current Mastercard exchange rate to any purchases you make in the local currency. Local banks may charge their own fees when you use one of their cash machines and you should make sure you understand what these are before making a withdrawal. You can use your numberless card to make free withdrawals at any Chase Bank ATM in the United States.
If you're planning a holiday to a restricted destination such as Cuba, please note that you won't be able to use your card or any other Chase services there. You can find out more about restricted destinations.
When you spend abroad, you can still get 1% cashback on everyday purchases with your Chase debit card online or in-store.1
Daily and monthly limits on cash withdrawals
You can withdraw up to £500 a day from cash machines (whether in the UK or abroad). If travelling abroad, there is also a £1,500 limit on cash withdrawals from your Chase current account in any calendar month. We suggest enabling location services whenever you’re away to help protect you from fraud.
1 Cashback exceptions apply. Available for 12 months from the date you joined Chase.

Re: chase banking app
Thanks freddo,
biggest problem is that local banks charge for withdrawals ( as most do ) so I'll stick with my santander as long as there's branches wherever I roam!
Or maybe just take that other stuff, - what do they call it again?........
CASH!
