7940 new houses for Torrevieja on La Hoya

Torrevieja Ayuntamiento has given tbe final go ahead for 7940 new homes on the La Hoya lands. It is the last large tract of building land left in Torrevieja. Now how come they didn't make it 8000. Seriously though 8000. That's equal to a town in itself.

You can move around and zoom in and out on this cadastal map of the new plots, commercials around the edges and housing in the middle.

Looking at the cadastal map, some of the roads that transverse the development look wider than the CV905. Wondering if that is an indication of provision for on-street parking for perhaps a large number of apartments contained within the 7940 new homes ?

R as you drive down the N332 from La Mata to Torrevieja on your right just past the new Auditorium there is a large tract of "waste" land. That's La Hoya. Estate Agents were fond of marketing it as a proposed Golf Course.
