I stupidly let the battery go totally flat on my Tab4, now, it will neither switch on or show charging - is it totally broken now?

I'm afraid that I fell at the first hurdle, as I can't separate the two parts

Nowadays it is of no value Samsung has launched new tablets, go for them. Currently, I am using Samsung Galaxy tab S7.
