First time in Torrevieja since last November.
Been reading about the port and the developments, and how it hopes to be open by the end of the month. I can't see that it looks like a building yard at the moment. Crazy

I was just thinking we hadn't heard from you in a while Stowie39. I think the Port is really clipping along. The space for the Funfair shouldn't take too long to sort out and then the placing of the new units for the night market. The main problem is sorting the levels at the Paseo Juan Aparicio end. You gotta have faith....

The last opening date, excluding areas under council responsibility, provided back in February by an unnamed concessionary company source was between the end of April and beginning of May (covered in this thread
Port Leisure Centre Opening Slips Beyond Easter).

We are back now for the 90 day Schengen shuffle, well Mrs Stowie is - I can't get affordable 90 day travel insurance so I'm having a 5 day UK break at day 60. it's cheaper to get 2 Ryan Air flights than pay the insurance premium

The joys of getting old and nobody will believe you are still only a sprightly young thing. You should tell Mick O'Leary of your insurance workaround. I am sure he would use it as an advertising opportunity for Ryanair

I know where you are coming from on that one, Stowie. Insurance for a trip to Far East, cheapest quote £3,300 and can only get cover for 50 days
