If you google DOLORES CAHILL an Irish scientist/ professor/ Doctor you will hear her telling us about it’s origin and her belief that if everyone were to simply take Vits C , D and Zinc daily , we will be able to fight covid19 as these vitamins and Zinc will strengthen our immune system. It is also her belief that the drug used for Maleria ( the one that Donald Trump is taking daily) will cure covid 19 in 3 days.
Sounds far fetched but she talks a good story. We are now taking our vitamins and zinc daily

Weirdly, friends of ours were on a cruise in Feb/ March when covid 19 was brought onto the ship at the end of their cruise. On their way home on a mercy flight, they were with 11 other people from Rep of Ireland. Soon after, they heard that all 11 had the virus and 1 poor man from Australia subsequently died. When my sister asked how they had been so lucky not to have become infected, her reply was because she and her husband have been taking their vitamins and zinc.

Check her out.

Vitamin d you get from exposure to Sunshine, c from fruit not sure about zinc. So with the first two, we in Spain shouldn't need to take extra vitamins but lots of people here were infected so that theory doesn't hold water.

Zinc is in a lot of our every day foods, Karen.
Just eating sensibly, should provide the intake of Zinc that we need.
@ Rosiemac . Yes, I have watched a couple of videos by Dr Dolores Cahill.
I trust her judgement completely .
She is very highly qualified , and has spent 25 years specialising in the subject .
I particularly liked her video , where she said wearing face masks, and Lock down was counter productive.

.
...........
Karen - most of the casualties ( not all ) are very elderly people, who already had underlying health problems.
A "normal" flu would almost certainly prove fatal to them.
The numbers of Covid-19 casualties here in this area was very low , and Torrevieja and surrounding areas have been Covid-19 free for the past 10 days .
When it first hit Spain earlier this year, Barcelona and Madrid had the highest number .
Given that the weather there ( unlike here ) at that time, is not unsimilar to Britain .
Cold , with a lot of rain .
Whereas , we still have plenty of sunshine .
Therelies the difference .

Thanks for this link, it's a really interesting perspective especially when one considers that the only country likely to benefit from Coronavirus is China itself through its exports.
