I do wonder if something like this could be brought in as generic approach across all hire companies to regulate the assessment of damage to hire cars returned/additional charges levied at drivers for damage. It would, perhaps/maybe, reduce the number of complaints we see locally about car hire companies ripping off clients at Alicante airport for 'damage' to cars.

If all the large hire car companies pushed for this AI enabled system to be used, it would probably wipe out small car rental companies because the cost of the equipment would be prohibitive.

It would not be possible to enforce without a government ruling which they would never agree to and there is no space available at Alicante airport to install it
