A scene of tension and danger on the road has generated a strong reaction on social networks after its dissemination on the Instagram account @dashcams.esp. The video, provided by a user identified as Antonio, shows an incident that occurred in Torrevieja which has sparked the debate on reckless driving and impulsive reactions behind the wheel.
It all began when a man who was driving with his daughter aboard his vehicle on Delfina Viudes Avenue was recklessly overtaken by another car that did not respect the continuous line. The manoeuvre, as can be seen in the images, put the safety of the occupants of the car ahead at risk. Outraged by the recklessness, the driver decided to follow the offending vehicle, which turned out to be driven by a woman. Despite the whistles, she did not take it for granted until finally, just before a zebra crossing, she reversed and stuck to the vehicle that was following her.

At that moment, the driver involved stops the car and gets out to rebuke the man, visibly upset by what she considered a "chase". He, for his part, snaps that she is a "crazy pussy" and warns her several times that he has the scene recorded. Despite the verbal confrontation, the woman decides to return to her car and flee the situation by accelerating sharply.
It is then that the most serious part of the video occurs: when trying to get away from the place quickly, the woman crosses a pedestrian crossing on Rosa Mazón Avenue at high speed and takes a baby carriage in front of her. Fortunately, the stroller was empty at that time, since the two-year-old girl was holding the hand of a relative, but the parents' fright was great. The woman did not apologize and went to argue with the driver who had been following her.
Complaint for reckless driving
The incident took place in front of the Habaneras shopping center, an area heavily traveled by both pedestrians and vehicles that do not usually respect the speed limit. A patrol of the Torrevieja Local Police went to the scene. The agents viewed the images provided by the security guards of the aforementioned shopping center. The driver did not test positive for breathalyzer. The owners of the trolley have announced to this newspaper that they will claim moral damages and will also denounce the woman for reckless driving.
The video has generated a wave of comments and reactions, many of them outraged by the attitude of both drivers. While some criticize the woman's reckless behavior, others question the father's decision to follow her for miles, which may have contributed to escalating the tension to a potentially tragic outcome.
The users of the account that disseminated the video ask that measures be taken and that the person responsible for the run over be identified.
The case reopens the debate on the dangers of "road justice" and the importance of staying calm on the road, even when other drivers break the rules. In this case, luck wanted the cart to be empty, but the consequences could have been dramatic.

The mother whose stroller was hit in Torrevieja speaks out: "The driver said 'I'll pay for the stroller,' and ignored us."
Más Vale Tarde speaks with Estefanía and Trinidad, the couple who were crossing a pedestrian crossing in Torrevieja with their daughter when a car hit their stroller. "Thank God the little girl didn't want to get in," they say.
In Torrevieja, a reckless driver ran over a baby stroller while crossing a pedestrian crossing, fortunately it was empty because the mother was carrying the child. This, however, was only the end of a series of reckless driving incidents.
Más Vale Tarde had the opportunity to speak with Estefanía and Trinidad, the couple who suffered this mishap that, miraculously, did not end in tragedy.
Trinidad explains that she was pushing the stroller, and that on the road, which has two lanes in each direction, she saw the cars stopped in the nearest lane and started to cross. She claims she didn't see the car coming until it was right on top of her, but luckily she was able to stop in time so that it only hit the stroller. "Thank God the little girl didn't want to get in," she says.
The driver's attitude, she notes, was to get out of the car and "tell the car behind her that it was her fault." Trinidad indicates that at that moment she was "in shock" at the situation. Regarding the man in the car behind her, she notes that she has seen the video he recorded and "it wasn't a chase" of the driver .
Trinidad demands "justice" for this driver, who, she claims, is a professional "truck driver, trailer driver, and so on" and, in her opinion, "should be re-examined ." After the accident, Trinidad maintains that the woman "completely ignored us" and "at no point was she concerned about our condition."
Estefanía adds that the driver's reaction was to say, "I'll pay for your car ," but at no point did she worry about them.
Mari Carmen Molina, the couple's lawyer, explains that the goal is to "have a report issued for reckless driving and not just a property damage report so they can get paid for the cart." She also points out that Estefanía and Trinidad are deeply affected by the incident "in terms of anxiety and insomnia": "They're walking down the street with the cart and checking three times before crossing the street."

Re: Vehicle Hits Pushchair On Crossing Between Haberneras & Specsavers
I blame the second car for engaging in this dangerous pursuit. He had to act the macho clown. Why can't they just let these things go. OK she pulled in in front of him so what. Normal people might blow the horn and then let it go. No he had to act the big man. Idiot.

I agree with you Bee, that people should mitigate their reactions to avoid conflict in such situations, and as people from the UK will know similar situations of road rage have led to people pulling a knife out and stabbing someone to death.Bee wrote: 12 Jul 2025 17:47 I blame the second car for engaging in this dangerous pursuit. We get use to seeing videos of events, and sometimes we believe what we see to be a true reflection of those events in total, and maybe our attention is only drawn to elements of a video by other people commenting or a specific part is highlighted through the video's title, but it only presents a snaphot in time.
The front dashcam footage provides an ending to both drivers actions, but probably not the ending of their argument at the crossing.
The front dashcam footage posted online is from the moment the Land Rover passes, and captures the chatter in the car, but we do not know if anything happened before the overtaking. Even if the events preceeding the Land Rover overtaking were not caught on a rear dashcam, the chatter in the car would have been caught on the front dashcam and may offer an insight.
There can be no excuse for the red Land Rover overtaking on a crossroads on Av. Delfina Viudes, but why did the car filming seemingly suddenly excelerate as the Land Rover was overtaking ?
