It looks like the The Valencian Community will be remaining in Phase 1 for another two weeks !!
The Valencian Community will not request the pass to Phase 2 of the de-escalation until June 1 for "prudence". According to the Minister of Health Ana Barceló "We are doing well, but the rate of reproduction of cases has grown from 0.66% to 0.85%." Therefore, in Torrevieja we will have to wait 15 more days to go to Phase 2 The first thing is health and it must always be protected.
Phase 2. Not just yet for us. !!!

It seems, and I hope that, the decision has been made on scientific/medical grounds but I think questions will be raised in the coming days.JamesB wrote: 19 May 2020 20:52 It looks like the The Valencian Community will be remaining in Phase 1 for another two weeks !!

I think some will see this as the Valencian Community trying to ensure that the region goes into Phase 2 united, and not split by health areas as it was between Phase 0 and Phase 1. But is there any guarantee the Ministry of Health will not do something similar again across Phases 1 and 2 ?
I am sure some areas that have been in Phase 1 for a week now may think they are being held back from proceeding to Phase 2, especially if it is found that the increase in rate of reproduction cases has not occurred in their health area.

It goes abit further than bars and restaurants - here is what is allowed in Phase 2:

Since that article was written, in fact just yesterday, the government have now abandoned the timetables for walking and exercise in Phase 2.
