Has anyone that is not covered under their house insurance tried to get individual pet insurance for their dog before the cut off date at the end of this month ?
I am looking for just the liability cover , i am about to phone around to get some quotes but would be grateful for any recommendations
Our dog is chipped, up to date vaccinations, and with her own passport if that helps

That probably explains the relaxed attitude of Linea Directa on the phone yesterday evening.

Under my house insurance a pet is already covered, but a previous article in Murcia Today that was also reproduced in a local English language magazine said that even if a pet (read dog) is covered under an existing home insurance policy you have to notify the insurance company to add the dog's chip number to the policy.

Having submitted the dog details via email yesterday morning, received a call yesterday evening to say dog is covered until next September, call us back then - the house insurance policy expires June.

My wife was panicking to get this done before the end of the month before the implementation date
Luckily we didnt arrange it before now
