Anyone know any opticians (or other entity) that would take several old pair's of glasses ?

Tried Specsavers (La Zenia), they say they do not accept old glasses.

This reminded me of an old episode of Steptoe and Son, where Wilfred Bramble pulls out a suitcase full of old spectacles from under the table and sorts himself out a pair to wear.
Seriously though, I can’t think of any organisation that would take them.
Apparently Covid put the kibosh on some opticians accepting them.

I saw a Lions Appeal in Ireland for old glasses and it appears they also have an appeal in Spain. A lot of the independent opticians would be participating. There are a couple more organisations mentioned in the article. It is from Nov 2021. From Consumer.es

Yes they told me when I enquired that since the pandemic they did not do this, although they had done so previously. Seems a bit odd.

I have not been wearing glasses for many years. I had my eyes tested Saturday, you can now buy glasses that go dark inside your car when driving, been out a month now they tell me, go from dark to light in 7 seconds...

Those type of glasses have been out for at least 35 years I have a few old pairs in a box somewhere

I have glasses that change already but modern cars shut out the UV rays...

I had Lazik for Myopia in 2001 by Dr Lago in Doña Pepa.
