Sky news said yesterday its only in the UK and gave a couple of reasons.

Maybe because of the supposed weather problems, after looking after it's own people first, there wasn't any left to export to the UK.

Just remember the Blitz and grow your own. I had a big allotment when we lived in Northampton ,although I didn't grow a great deal. It was just and excuse to sit and drink beer with the others ,then shoot down the local greengrocer and buy some Maris Piper potatoes and carrots and stick some earth on them.

Same problem on Irish news yesterday but there are lots of Irish grown veg so except for things like peppers and aubergines we won't go short.

Didn't see brexit mentioned on the news I saw. Spain got a mention for weather woes as did Africa and then it said that UK crop growers were not producing as much as they couldn't afford to turn the heating on in their agricultural tents. Can't see brexit would be a factor but I suppose some media outlets have their own narrative they try to push on listeners or readers.

It stated the more complex supply chains that now exist have also had an effect on imports of said products, that's why there is no significant shortages anywhere else but uk.
