Torrevieja Health Authority and Hospital To Go Public

Interesting that Valencian regional government are going to take over the hospital in 2021 from the private company Ribera Salud who have been operating it since 2006. This decision follows Valencia taking over Hospital de Alzira in March 2018.

Looks like the main driver behind bringing the hospitals back under Valencian control is the price charged by Ribera Salud per resident. Although that may not be the only reason for Torrevieja, as the article I have read also has comments by users of the service provided by the Torrevieja Health Authority leveling criticism at its "shortcomings and failings".

Not sure that taking this back under Valencian government control will necessarily be good or result in a cost saving or improved services.

Why can't good things be left as they are?
When my wife had a bad cycling accident, the treatment she received was exemplory...could not fault it...I was really impressed with the hospital all round.
Don't see how they can be improved by going back under local government control....
