Was it Blackpool or Morecombe... Bridlington or Cromer.
Or much further south to here in sunny Spain
I can remember a similar show a while back here at The Emerald Isle, La Florida, put on by Paul Moran for the kids .... only they had an ugly looking dog puppet called Ranko, I wonder what happened to him.
Anyway the guy who controlled them was callled Tom or Tim and he said that they seemed to have a mind of their own and were becoming an embarrassment with their bad languange,lies and continual slagging off of another puppet sow as was seriously thinking of closing it down (again because of the lack of audience's
I was with my great grandchildren at the time and when Tim or Tom asked if they wanted to meet the puppets Tone and Duncy, they declined saying ' They smell funny grandad'. ....... I said ' That'll be the bullsh*t ' ...... Out of the mouths of babes eh
As an aside I did post something very similar the other day, but I deleted it, within the hour.
