re-introduction of roaming charges

#1

Post: # 25304Post jimny1 »

As from march EE and the other two major phone providers ar re-introducing roaming charges
I have a duel sim card slot in my mobile, my spanish sim and my EE uk sim that i have had for years but no longer use except if someone from the uk wants to message me
If i leave the card in my phone and dont use it will i be charged anything to do with roaming?
It is pay as you go and i have about £1.80 left on it
TIA

I would have thought if you never use it you might be cut off at some stage but just use WiFi on it and send a text once in a while then top up. I will buy a Spanish one at some stage, probably from lobster, I think they are a bit like Giffgaff in the UK, you can just pay for a month when required in Spain. Number disappears after one year if not used. Brexit benefit, lol. Roaming, TV... Being punished ha ha.

I see this on an EE community board but the best was will be to check your balance then get someone to send a text to you then check again:

Many thanks for that R
It looks like i wont get charged receiving anything and my data is on my spanish sim
I feel sorry for others coming over to spain and having to pay roaming charges again, the mobile companies make enough money out of people already without this
