It can't be tomorrow as it is to be a Spain-wide Government regulation which may be introduced after the meeting of the Council of Ministers tomorrow Thursday. It will then have to be published in the BOE with a commencement date.

This is what the BOE says. It may yet be challenged in the Courts. Comes into force tomorrow. Is that a minute after midnight tonight? Bee

Article 6. Mandatory use of masks.
1. People six years of age and older are obliged to use masks in the following cases:

a) In any closed space for public use or that is open to the public.

b) In any outdoor space for public use or that is open to the public.

c) In means of air, sea, bus, or rail transport, including passenger platforms and stations, or cable car, as well as in complementary public and private passenger transport in vehicles with up to nine seats, including the driver, if the occupants of the tourism vehicles do not live in the same address. In the case of passengers on ships and boats, it will not be necessary to wear masks when they are inside their cabin.

2. The obligation contained in the previous section will not be enforceable in the following cases:

a) To people who present some type of disease or respiratory difficulty that may be aggravated by the use of the mask or who, due to their situation of disability or dependence, do not have the autonomy to remove the mask, or who present alterations in conduct that make its use unfeasible.

b) In the event that, due to the very nature of the activities, the use of the mask is incompatible, in accordance with the indications of the health authorities.

c) In those places or closed spaces for public use that are part of the place of residence of the groups that meet there, such as institutions for the care of the elderly or people with disabilities, dependencies for the collective residence of essential workers or other groups that meet similar characteristics, as long as said groups and the workers who perform their duties there, have vaccination coverage against SARS-CoV-2 greater than 80% with a complete schedule and the booster dose, accredited by the authority competent health.

This last exception will not apply to external visitors, nor to workers in residential centers for the elderly or with functional diversity, since in this case the use of a mask is mandatory.

d) Abroad, during individual sports, as well as during non-sports activities carried out in natural spaces and maintaining, in any case, the minimum distance of 1.5 meters with other people who do not be together.

3. The use of masks in prisons where there is mobility of inmates, both outdoors and in closed spaces, will be governed by specific rules established by the competent prison authority.

4. The unit sale of surgical masks that are not individually packaged may only be carried out in pharmacy offices, guaranteeing adequate hygiene conditions that safeguard the quality of the product. "

At least Bee translates it for anyone who doesn't speak Spanish, so for most it`s just double dutch. Very helpful.

Well, most of people I witnessed earlier today were either ignoring /ignorant of this ruling. I would say about 65% not wearing as against 35% wearing masks on the street.
