Places for dogs to swim
Places for dogs to swim
Just a quick question. I know where the dog-friendly beach is at Torrevieja, but I was wondering if the other beaches are out of bounds for dogs all year round, or only peak season? Also, are dogs allowed in the pink and blue lakes at Torre? (The problem with the dog-friendly beach is that new immigrants can't drive on a UK driving licence after the first 6 months, so if you don't live within walking distance you're stuffed!) I'm not in Spain yet, so just trying to work out the best location for me and my, as yet unadopted, dogs. Thanks.

Thereis nobody on the beaches at the moment. I see dogs running around on La Mata beach on the webcam. No the dogs would definitely not be allowed in the 2 lakes. La Mata is a wildlife sanctury and Torrevieja is a working lake and not open to the public.

Dogs are allowed on the paths on lake La Mata but they must be kept on a lead.Bee wrote: 25 Nov 2021 21:22 Thereis nobody on the beaches at the moment. Sorry I thought the poster meant could they swim in the Lakes. They can be taken for walks anywhere.

Lots of dogs on La Mata beach when we were there last week. In fact one gorgeous Golden Retruever was having the time of her life digging holes in the sand.
