Covid test to return to uk

Post: # 19115Post Retire1day »

I filled in the online form for clinicalsiesta yesterday, emailed them today and no reply. My next one replied to my email within 10 minutes but they have a low Google review score but I will go there Thursday, see what happens! I am not planning on getting stuck here but let's see what happens. This was part of the email I had returned, think they are near habernas.

My friend who is in Spain had to return to UK last Saturday.
Just asked her about it and she said she had the antigen test at IMED.
She said everything went well and received results in the agreed timeframe.

Only her experience but thought it might be ueful having an experience from last weekend.

Some friends went home on Saturday night and had their antigen tests at Quiron with no problem whatsoever.

Went to IMED, no appointment although they did ask if I had one, had quick swab up the nose, drove to LaZenia, text with negative result. Efficient, €40.

I just booked my UK locator form. They will not let you complete it without a booking reference number of your day 2 and 8 tests, you can have day five to be released earlier than day 10. I just had day 2 and 8, cost was £125. Some advertise £34 and when you click on thier company that is not the price. Lengthy UK locator form.
It has been worth it for me but my boys and my brother have all cancelled their holidays as they can't self isolate when back. With the €40 antigen added to the above and a taxi to get tested if you don't have a car it takes the cost to over £200 per person or there abouts so that is why there are hardly any planes flying.
As everyone states, this will be with us maybe forever so hopefully the government's will realise we have to live with it and let us out of prison. I can see Spain are doing a good job for the Brits by letting us in without testing, just need the UK government to stop being ultra cautious. I am looking forward to my next 16 days in the not to distant future. Things would have to be a lot worse to stop me coming here to recharge my batteries.

Before boarding at Alicante they want to see your antigen negative test and UK locator form. Mine were on my phone. They then gave me a small slip for the gate, they gave it to me in the queue at the gate.
Plane very quiet.

My husband flew to UK yesterday.
I booked his day 2 and day 8 tests with Randox, at a cost of £86. They were delivered last Tuesday, by DPD, to the address where he is staying.
He had his antigen test at iMed on Friday afternoon, at a cost of €40.
There were only 20 people on his flight.
