For the life of me I can't solve last one, even with pen and paper. Not understanding the second number. is it a whole number which turns the whole thing negative, or is it two thirds of 66. Will wait and see on Thursday!

Glad you posted stowie39, as that made me go back and check that I had copied the Genius puzzle correctly from the book.

I have to hold my hands up and admit I have made an error, so apologies to you and others attempting the Genius puzzle.

The second number should have had a '%' sign afterwards. The second element of the the Genius puzzle should therefore read Less 66%.

Sorry !

Thanks Carl will still need pen and paper for this one! I think the original 'spirit" of these type of puzzle was to be a mental exercise.

I do enjoy them though although not all brain cells still work. I have in the past resorted to asking my son, who had an Oxford PhD in physics for help if I can't remember how to do something. The last time resulted in simultaneous equations being whatsapped between us. Covid lockdown has a lot to answer for.

Genius - 185, but I admit to using a pen and paper.
