Town Hall Christmas Payment to Pensioners

Torrevieja Town Hall has reinstated its Christmas Payment to pensioners. You can apply online or at Casa Tercera Edad, 70 Calle Pedro Lorca between 9.00-14h00 and 16h00 -18h00 once the notice is published in the Alicante BOE in the coming week. Applicants will have 10 days to complete the application. You must be over 60 and in receipt of a Retirement pension or a Widows or Orphans Pension and be on the Padrón for at least 2 years. Your annual pension cannot be more than - I think the figure is €11,100.

I have never heard of Orihulela doing anything like this - a nice gesture.

Orihuela were doing this I got a payment when I lived in San Bartolome which comes under Orihuela

The aplication form is on the Ayuntamiento website on the link below. When you open it go down to the box that says

Ayudas Pago Único Colectivo Vulnerable por Edad y Escasos Recursos

You fill it in and take it to Casa Tercera Edad on 74 Calle Pedro Lorca. It is quite a complicated looking form. They look for proof of AEAT tax return for 2019 if you were required to do that and proof from your bank if there is an overseas pension being paid to you etc. Just keep in mind the household income of €11,200. The official notice was not published today so I will have a look again tomorrow . Remember you have only 10 days to lodge it after the official notice.

When I was living in San Bartolome there were no forms to fill they just came round and gave out a parcel and some cash

The notice about the payment still hasn't been officially posted in the Alicante Province Gazette. The nitice from TorreviejaTown Hall said you had 10 days to submit your application from official notice being posted. However I am sure those who feel they qualify for the payment have already downloaded and completed the form. Did anyone go to Casa Tercera Edad on 74 Calle Pedro Lorca with their form?
