GRIPE Vaccinations To Commence Mid-October

Briefly mentioned in the following EWN article, GRIPE vaccinations will commence mid-October for the elderly, essential worker and residents.

It was reported a few months ago that the commencement of the GRIPE vaccine programme would be brought forward this year due to Covid-19, with mid-October making it about 2 weeks earlier than last year's programme which started at the end of October.

I've never had a flu injection in my life, but we have private medical so my wife just goes to our doctor to get hers.

Not sure they even commenced here at the end of October last year or if they did they stoppped shortly afterwards as there was a lack of vaccines available if i remember correctly.

The GP's surgeries round here (Surrey) are doing a drive-through clinic for flu jabs at a small local airfield, starting 1st October. Sounds a pretty good idea, especially this year, so have booked for both of us.

According to the Valencian Government flu vaccinations will start on 5th October. The at risk groups, including the elderly, will be contacted to make an appointment. There will be no "all come at once" situation as in previous years where you lined up & waited for your name to be called.
