Spain Set To 'Lockdown' 18 September ?

Have to say I find this article a bit hard to believe, but the article does say that the information came from two Spanish members of congress, but then again perhaps these members of congress see the paper easy for a wind up.
- Why wait until 18 September if cases are continually rising daily ?
- Anyone any ideas why Italy was mentioned along with Portugal and France regarding closing of borders with Spain ?
- The last paragraph seems to imply that 'lockdown' restrictions on movement were lifted so that the country could enjoy the summer months ?

According to Euroweekly news it's all our fault for not reading their article properly, so they have put together another article which covers their backside, basically they are just crap at their job.

The EWN is a complete rag and it's a shame there isn't an official body that they can't be reported to.
The majority of comments on Facebook show that people haven't got a lot of time for it.

Thanks for that. I missed that follow up.
Be interesting if the UK media pickup on the original article, as they have covered several stories in the past few weeks that have originated from the EWN, but the repercussions from this one article could be really damaging.

The N332, local police Facebook page were very quick to dispel this report from the E W.N.
As has already been said .
The E.W.N. has a history of scaremongering and speculation.
Journalism , at it's worst .

You are spot on GK about EWN and their journalistic talents or rather lack of.
I assume that most articles probably these days go straight to live online without an editor reviewing the content first ? The original article was time marked at 06:46 on a Sunday morning.
Given the time on Sunday morning the article was posted and that the two members of congress spoke to EWN on Saturday, I don't think it would surprise many if it turned out the conversation between the parties took place in a bar or over a meal on Saturday night. Depending on how much had been drunk and who was paying may determine how accurate the information provided by the two members of congress was or how accurate the article reflects what was said, or even how badly worded the article was.

Yes - that sounds quite feasible.

Is it any different from most UK tabloids.
They are full are headlines from unnamed sources and are then contradicted by another source and then back again. Sometimes its only a proposal, other times its totally made up just to sell papers.
That is why articles must be read carefully before rushing to judgement.
Still waiting for the uk Govt care plan thats been much vaunted and even today when questioned still no answer to back up the talk.
