Torrevieja Forum and Discussion Board

The success of this forum will be determind by those using this forum. We therefore feel it is important that members provide constructive feedback so that we can all work together to achieve this.

With a Torrevieja forum closing later this year our priority was to ensure that this forum was up and running as soon as possible to provide an alternative to other forums that already exist.

We have tested this site and have incurred no issues to date. However, with any new site there is the possibility of teething problems and we will address them as they arise. If you encounter any problem please contact us so that we can investigate.

As mentioned earlier our priority was to get this forum up and running, so the cosmetic side of the site is still to be addressed including a logo.

Whilst this blue style forum is clean, it is also used by several other forums and we believe as a new forum starting with a blank canvas we want to distinguish ourselves from the others and you may notice us trying different styles over the next few days.

We have increased member registration security to ensure we do not encounter similar problems to another forum. Spam protection is also in place.

Member registration is free.

Advertising on this site is free for private individuals. For businesses we ask that they contact us before posting so we can understand their potential volume of postings, and so that we can determine whether businesses should pay to post. We are also open to discuss paid business adverts on the site, but only if it is not detrimental to the running of the forum.

This is where we are at the moment.

Quick update on further improvements to the site:-

Topic Preview (not available for touch screen devices) - Hover your cursor over the title of a post and you will see a short preview of the text in the first post of the thread. We can also add the last post in thread to the preview, but this seems pointless as we expect people to read all posts in a thread not just the first and last.

Users Online in the Members directory - To access the Members directory, click on the Quick Links tab on the site and select. Other ways to see users online - at the bottom of the front page or if in a thread where a member has posted a green bar will be showing on the right.

Collapse Forum Sections - This can be done via the -/+ symbol on the right side of the section header.

Site Colour - After several days of testing various styles on various devices, we believe the colour that you currently see is the best so far.

Its too early to tell if any improvements can be made, success will depend on how many people join the forum.
