They must be the only parents in history who say their daughter has been kidnapped (not thinking or hoping she may have wondered out of the unlocked room but stating definately been taken) and then set up a business to raise funds and not a charity, delete phone and text message calls/details before handing phone to the police and then also refuse to answer police questions except one, the one that says you know not answeting the others will hinder the search and giving misinformation to the police.

Jimbo - that was a point raised by Peter Hyett ( retired C.I.A. profiler ).
He said ( after watching McCann interviews, and reading statements ), why would Kate return to the Tapas Bar, and blurt out _" Maddie has been taken" ?

Mr Hyett said ..she didn't know that ...how could she know that ?

He went on to say that , Kate could have said anything , from - she's not in the apartment to we'd better look for her , as she may have wandered off , or simply - she's missing.

He was perplexed , as to why Kate chose those particular words , when she "allegedly" , didn't know for sure what had happened to Maddie .......or did she ?

There's always been two schools of thought.

That at some time Madeline died accidently in the apartment somehow and the McCanns embarked on an elaberate plan to cover it up, some have said that they elicited the help of their friends, which would have made it very elaberate plan indeed, because the more people involved in a plot, the more chance that someone will talk.

The second school of thought is, and the one which I subscribe to, is much simpler. She either woke up and walked out looking for her parents, or equally someone just walked in and took.
It's well documented that the McCanns had left their children before in similar circumstances to the night of 7 May 2007 and it may not have gone unnoticed by interested parties.

The evidence of the cadaver dogs is extremely convincing and can't be ignored, yet I still can't convince myself that two so called loving parents would dispose of the daughters dead body, making sure it will never be found then instead of keeping a low profile, embark on the highest publicity and fund raising campaign possible .. which I don't need to go into here.

And all this time, THIRTEEN YEARS .. in all of the thousands of interviews that I've watched of them, neither if them bat an eyelid when the question of whether Madeline is alive or not.

Speaking as a human being, a devoted father eight middle aged chidren, devoted grandad of twelve grandchildren and devoted greatgrandad of six greatgrandchildren, I find it inconceivable that the McCanns have courted publicity and asking help in finding their daughter knowing full that that she died in early May 2007 and they disposed of her body.

I'm sorry but I don't buy it and thats why subscribe to the second school of thought which would explain a lot of things .. but not all, such as the evidence put forward by Jimbo ... which is troubling .

The problem for me is if she walked out, or someone just took her, why did forensics find blood under the tiles , 15 out of 17 peaks from matching her DNA 100%, then the dog issue
I can only conclude it was an accident, and because of the implications, even being an accident, that would result in some kind of punishment for the mccanns, they tried to cover it up, disposing of her body so it couldnt be examined to find any sleep related drugs in her body
The idea she woke up, went to the settee, climbed up to look out of the window, slipped , fell, and hit her head fatally on the ceramic tiles seems a more sane scenario
To me it never even entered my mind they murdered her, i have a daughter myself, and that to me is difficult to believe, that they are covering up a tragic accident is more feasible, remember someone said they saw a figure that resembled gerry carrying a small bundle in his arms
Otherwise we would be talking about two monsters and not parents
Then it would make sense the reason they seem so confident when answering questions, they know they are not murderers, just guilty of perverting the course of justice, and would explain why they refuse to take lie detector tests
It thats the eventual conclusion, it still doesnt exonerate them from the 13 years of deceit , but at least we wouldnt be looking at murderers , just two parents unable to mourn the death of their child

Either way they were negligent and in my view uncaring by their actions.

Becsuse of their words, actions, lies and inconsistencies at the time i believe they were culpable in the death of her in the apartment and as Drs covered it up to protect themselves. If they overdosed her with a sedative to stop her waking up as she did the previous evening they would be finished career wise and guilty if a crime.
Thats why I cannot understand or accept an innocent parent:
Would lie to the police,
not answer police questions to aid the inquiry,
Delete phone records,
delete photos of your daughter,
Ignore police requests by talking to the media and issuing the photo.
Contradictions in their stories
set the search fund up as a business.

That us without the dog evidence, blood in the apartment and other dna snd forensic evidence.

Maddie died in that apartment.
And I agree. They put themselves and their careers first.
They come over as cold and calculated.
Which, I believe they are.

Yes either way, they were negligent, and if it had happened in the UK, they would have felt the full force of the law... hopefully.

But instead we had British Police taking over the investigation of a missing English girl in a foreign country and wasting nearly 12 millions pounds and thirteen years and being in the exact same spot on 14 June 2020 as they were on 3 May 2007 ... which is absolutely fecking nowhere.
