You transfer money into your Wise account, for example GBP into the UK account, or € into your Belgian account.
You can choose whether to leave it there and any spends using the card will be converted from the currency of the country you are spending in and deducted from your balance.
If you go online to your account, you have to autherise the log on using the app on your phone,you can choose to add another currency, for example the South African rand.
Once this currency has been activated you can add funds either with a new transfer from GBP, or a transfer from your existing balance. The fee, and exchange rate and the resulting amount of the transfer will be displayed before you commit to the transfer.
