Yes it has been hailed as a good outcome by both Gibraltar and Spain as Gibraltar enters the Schengen Area for the first time and remains within the EU. The port and airport will now be policed by Frontex. It will also mean continued access to Structural Funds from the EU into Gibraltar. An interesting fallout from Brexit just like Northern Ireland.

I don't think adjusting the 90 day rule is an issue for which most brexiteers will worry about, it does not give freedom of movement or permanent residence, just a little more flexibility.

But the reason is to stop freedom of movement there has to be a limit.

The 90 day is a limit already in use by EU for what are classed as a 3rd country.
The UK is now classed as a 3rd country.

And if changing it, what do you change it to.
6 months, 9 months.

When does it not become freedom of movement, allowing EU to spend months in UK, fly home for a month or two, then back to UK again.

No I cannot see UK or EU wanting to change it.

Less than half the year anytime you want in Spain would suit me in a few years time. If that is via some additional paperwork etc not an issue. Of course I will just go with the rules but it will cost Spain a lot.
On a different subject I was looking at property prices in Gib, not cheap are they. Is it easier to spend 5 or 6 months there from the UK. All feels a bit claustrophobic in Gib though, not much space is there.

You can't, Gibraltar is now in the Schengen area so no different to Spain.

But you cant do that. Ita not anytime you want.

Its no more than 90 days in a rolling 180.

I have a neighbour who lives in Oxford who comes for 10 weeks, July and August. And for a few weeks at a tine between then and Christmas.
He rang and asked if he can still do that and I told hin if he does 10 weeks July, August he can only do 2 more weeks between then and Christmas.

I know what you can and can't do now, just looking at original posting by Bee and wondering what might change. Less money for Spain if they don't change, no problem for me.

Arrived back in Spain yesterday no stamp on my passport so don’t know how they will know how long I’ve been here after 90 days.
