I asked a mechanic who gets it done for clients and he said just make sure whoever does the remapping knows what they are doing. Each manufacturer would have a different system and it takes about 2 hours. It costs approx €300. The ad blue tank in our Sprinter van is under the bonnet.

Thanks again Bee
I have saved a couple of garages in my favourites for reference
cheers
ps here is an example of adblue problems from the peugeot forum

Whilst in England on holiday , the engine warning light and Ad blue light appeared on the vehicle dashboard.

The Ad blue had been checked prior to the journey, the tank was full, also in my ownership the tank has never been empty.

The warning message on the dashboard informed me that in approximately 500 kilometres the vehicle will not start .

I left the vehicle at a Peugeot Dealership garage in England to investigate the problem, after three days I was informed the Adblue tank and injector required complete replacement.

Due to the shortage of spare parts my vehicle was in the garage for two weeks.

The cost of this repair/ replacement amounted to £1670.04 (GBP) because I needed the vehicle, it was repaired and paid for by me. I have documentary evidence to support this.

I have carried out an investigation with a number of Peugeot garages in England and the internet and discovered that Peugeot are fully aware of this inherent problem and have redesigned the Adblue tank and injector on newer vehicles.

Peugeot garages informed me that on average they have two cars per day with an Adblue fault.

I fail to understand that despite this known fault, Peugeot have not informed customers and therefore, by their silence, leave the problem and the repair costs to the customer.

I further fail to understand why my vehicle, has not been recalled to rectify this problem.

I therefore seek reimbursement from Peugeot for the cost of the repair, £1670.04 (GBP) to my vehicle, which is four years old

I hope it doesn't get to that stage Fred, i am trying to keep things civil between myself and the garage , i could have gone overboard with things that needed done but i haven't
I only complained that he only gave me 6 months engine and gearbox cover when by law in Spain now it is minimum 12 months
He just replied that he could apply that to any faults on my old Kia , the difference was my Kia was faultless

As long as you declared any apparent faults to him when doing the px he has not got a leg to stand on
Why not just ask that the whole deal be cancelled under the sale of goods act in Spain and get your old Kia and money back I believe you are allowed 30 days from the day you did the deal

I could do that fred, i bought it on the 11th last month, so i have four days
I will see what he says tomorrow when i tell him about the adblue leak
The thing is i like the car , if it wasn't for this problem i would have been happy , although my wife doesn't like it as she struggles to get in and out with her knee condition
The other thing i am amazed at is how it passed the ITV the day before i bought it
Surely the testers would have seen all the fluid on the casing and put it on the report, which he didn't give me
I would have thought as it is part of the emissions it would have failed ?
Heres an article from last year about this scandal

Bought my 2016 Ford Focus Estate in March 2018 for €10,000 from the Ford dealer Martinez in San Miguel and have never had one single problem with.

Had my last Ford Focus Estate for fifteen trouble free years.

I never had any trouble with the Kia B, or with the previous Suzuki Jimny , i had both cars a long time, but when the clutch went on the jimny someone i was using buggered it up and would not repair it further, otherwise before that both were running perfect
I got both from Autos Direct , i would have bought another from them but they didn't have what i wanted
