I live near Ballymoney and I too have encountered the Mars Bar and Apple sandwiches. It was a shock to me having been reared in the south.
The only steak I enjoy is a fillet but believe me, when I buy good mince steak, add breadcrumbs, onions, herbs, salt and pepper ( nowadays I add chilli flakes). Mix well, toss in flour and put onto the pan and cook, my husband wouldn’t call the king his uncle!! Delicious. I make them pretty large. Occasionally, once browned,I’ll add a little water, put a lid over and let the steam do its work. He flour on the Pattie thickens into a sauce.
Sounds yummy..

You are making me hungry R put it in a brioche bun. Doubly delicious!! A lot of the professional Chefs add a squirt of tomato sauce to the raw mixture. I tried the fish finger sandwich but not for me. I don't really like fish fingers as too much coating on the outside and not enough fish on the inside.
