Governments are raking it in with added Carbon taxes as well as the usual tax on fuel. The cheapest we can buy diesel in Ireland is €1.83 a litre and similar price for petrol. I suppose the latest war will now be used as another excuse by the wholesalers to add a few more dollars to the barrel.

Also governments want us shying away from carbon fuels, so they will be happy charging the higher taxes, as you say , plus the higher prices will force more people to think about buying EVs , which is what they want

1.54 for fiese6this morning in Punta Prima. What I can't understand is that there are two Plenoil.outlets within a hundred yards of one another one is 1
54 and the other 1.56

I think it's a franchise as the prices vary wildly from outlet to outlet.
