Announcement from Reach Out, the charity based in Torrevieja which helps the homeless and families living in poverty:
We would very much appreciate you spreading the word that our Charity Shop in Calle Bella Antonia 1 will be opening its doors again on 1st June at 10.00am.
We will, of course, have controls in place to meet current social distancing and hygiene instructions.
Unfortunately, those who wish to purchase furniture will have to arrange a time to inspect. etc.
We can accept donations at our Comedor, but only clothes in plastic bags. NO toys, shoes or bric a brac.
Your help to spread the word would be very much appreciated as you have thankfully done in the past.
We have also opened a Go Fund Me account for donations to Reach Out at this time.

Re: Reach Out Charity Shop Re-opening 1 June
I am sure funds are very low with all charities at this time.

Re: Reach Out Charity Shop Re-opening 1 June
I have not heard/seen anything in the Spanish media about the Spanish Government providing financial support to any charities. The charities I have read about seem to have decided to raise monies in a similar way to Reach Out via Go Fund Me type of websites.
I do wonder whether going forward there will be a reluctance in people to buy used items/items not in original sealed packaging from charity shops.
