A post by Liverbird has gone viral on social media today, with the post below on X (Twitter) this morning racking up 1.2 million views by 8pm this evening. Anything above 1 million views on X is classed as viral, but most viral posts tend to only achieve a quarter of those views in the first 24 hours.

Unfortunately of the 2k plus replies, some to Liverbird's post were far from complimentary and abusive. However, others were supportive, and some constructive.

Yes I remember Liverbird and although you mentioned that some replies to Liverbird's post were far from complimentary and abusive, I did read quite a few and from what I read, the vast majority were 'far from complimentary and abusive', and the use of the c'word was quite prolific. Admittedly, I did smile occasionaly.

I would not like to comment, but I may agree with your observations on 'some', however I was trying to remain neutral and respectful with my wording

Looks like she has soaked up the attention.

Probably now need a bodyguard whilst in Liverpool for her weeks' stay celebrating her 70th birthday. Now a 'social media influencer' perhaps Ryanair will upgrade her to first class for her return flight to keep her away from the kids ?

I am sure someone will correct me, but I think there are two possible reasons ?

The first is the structure of the school years. I believe they have more school terms now than say a decade ago, and flexibility over when and how long school holidays are. Somerset schools have just had last week off, but some of those replying to Liverbird have said their child's school are now into their second and week of this school holiday.

Second point, again picked up in replies to Liverbird and often mentioned in the media. The financial saving of taking kids out of school for holidays in term time outweighs the fine imposed on parents for doing so.
