British Gang Leader Shot Multiple Times in Orihuela Costa Underground Garage
A 32-year-old British man was left fighting for his life on Thursday night after being shot repeatedly inside an underground car park in Orihuela Costa, in what investigators believe may be a gang-related revenge attack.

The shooting took place at around 10:00 PM on Calle Cabo de Gata, Lomas de Cabo Roig, when gunmen opened fire on the victim while he was sitting inside his vehicle. Between 10 and 15 shots were fired, with at least ten bullets smashing through the windscreen alone.
The victim was hit three times — in the arm, leg and chest — but despite his serious injuries, he managed to exit the vehicle and seek help from a nearby resident, who rushed him to Torrevieja University Hospital.
He was immediately taken into surgery and is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit, where he remains in critical condition with a guarded prognosis.

Recently Released From Prison
According to Guardia Civil sources, the man had been released from prison just two weeks ago on provisional bail. He had previously been arrested in April as the alleged leader of an armed British gang accused of extorting cannabis clubs across the Vega Baja region.
Investigators say the group operated in a mafia-style protection racket, threatening club owners with violence in order to seize control of businesses and siphon off profits. During his arrest earlier this year, officers reportedly recovered two submachine guns classified as military weapons and more than 300 rounds of ammunition from his home.
Three Guardia Civil officers were injured during that operation due to the suspect’s violent resistance.

Possible Score-Settling
Police are now investigating the shooting as a potential settling of scores, a theory reinforced by the victim’s criminal background and the sheer volume of gunfire used in the attack.
Emergency services were alerted via 112 shortly after 10 PM. Armed response units from Pilar de la Horadada and Torrevieja, along with Orihuela Costa Local Police, secured the scene. The Judicial Police of Pilar de la Horadada are leading the investigation and are actively working to identify the shooter or shooters.

Lovely neighbours to have. Lucky no innocent person was harmed. Shame that lowlife is taking up a hospital bed.
