Mark is trying to plan an escape that takes less than two days because he will not have access to food or water during his journey. He considered digging a tunnel in the dirt, but it will still take more than two days, and he will not make it.

How else will he be able to escape ?

Mark will be able to escape by creating a pile of dirt with his shovel. He can climb this pile in order to reach the cell window. He will then be able to climb out of the window and escape.
