A woman walks into a cafe and sits down at one of the booths. Soon enough, a waitress comes by and takes her order. She asks for only a cup of coffee. Shortly after the waitress returns with the coffee and heads back to the kitchen.
A few minutes later, the woman notices that a fly has found its way into her coffee cup. Politely, the woman motions the waitress to come back and asks for another fresh cup of coffee. The waitress takes her cup and returns to the kitchen.
A few minutes later she returns, saying, "There you go. I poured you a new cup of coffee. No fly this time." She leaves the
cup on the table and turns to head back to the kitchen. She only makes afew steps before her customer calls her back. "Hey ! This is the same cup ! You only removed the fly and gave me the same one !"
While assuming that the coffee is still hot and the coffee machine is not in view of the customer, how would she be able to tell it was the same coffee ?
Answer will be provided next Thursday evening after 21:00.

Re: Teaser Of The Day No. 298
Before the woman had noticed the fly,she had added sugar to her coffee. When the waiter returned with the supposedly new cup of coffee, the woman took a sip, noted it was sweet, and knew that the waiter had just removed the fly and served her the original coffee.

ANSWER
The woman was able to notice immediately that it was the same coffee because she had added sugar while the waitress was not looking. When she was given back, she sipped it and found that it was already sweet and sugar was already added.
