Summer Road Restrictions In Torrevieja
Summer Road Restrictions In Torrevieja
https://theleader.info/2025/07/08/torre ... is-summer/
Some interesting points in the article.
The closure of roads in the vicinity of the underground car parks in the marina area when the car parks become full has the potential to leave empty spaces in the car parks throughout the evening, because spaces vacated cannot be filled as driver cannot access the car parks.
No mention of accessibility for taxis nor disabled parking users to the areas where the roads will be blocked off.
Begs the question what the plans will be when the marina leisure development opens, because similar parking issues and increased numbers of pedestrians in the area will not just be confined to the summer months.
On a more positive note in the article, the car park of the old Mercadona supermarket near the bus station has been opened up for use. Wonder who owns it, the Chinese store on the ground floor ?
And finally, progress seems to being made on Torrevieja's low emission zone (ZBE). Just on the subject of ZBE's, Benidorm's came into force on 1st July.

Re: Summer Road Restrictions In Torrevieja
I always park in the car park in the port in Calle Salero, no matter what time of the year it is. It's only a very short walk into the town and even further.

Re: Summer Road Restrictions In Torrevieja
The article mentions a road closure point at the intersection of Gregorio Marañón Avenue with Calle Faleria once the underground car parks are full in the evening, so looks like the only way to access this car park then would be via the one way Calle Travesia Jose Huertas Morion, and exit the car park via a closed road.Brandyboy wrote: 10 Jul 2025 10:38 I always park in the car park in the port in Calle Salero, no matter what time of the year it is. I always access the car park via Calle Travesia Jose Huertas Morion anyway, but I may give it a miss going into town until after the duration.
I only go in when it's necessary.

Re: Summer Road Restrictions In Torrevieja
I have parked in the new car park beside the Dique on numerous occasions, including the 23 June. I can't imagine it ever being full, doesn't seem to have many using it. Of course this will probably change when August is here. It's a great car park, easy to get into and spaces very big.

The whole area will look great when it's finished, looks beautiful on the video.
For me bowling alleys usually look dirty and dingy inside, (only my opinion). I have been bowling at the Ozone many times. Was there nothing better to put there, maybe there is a need for it.
