Waste pipes in Spanish properties

As a general rule if such a thing exists in Spain does waste water simply run into the main sewer, only on another forum in Spain not in this area someone commented that the waste first goes into a concrete area under a property before eventually leaving through another pipe to the sewer?

Mine went under all the properties in the close straight in to the big pipe in the main road.

On most communities waste pipes are normally connnected to a central pipe which in turn is connected to the mains in the street.

Thanks for the replies vino and brandyboy that is what i had assumed happened.

And normally the central pipes have several access hatches so any blockages can be easily dealt with.
