wise card in bulgaria

Hi all,
I've got a wise debit card and have both a sterling and euro account with them.
Can I use it to withdraw cash and make payments in bulgaria? Or do I have to open a Lev account along with my present ones?
ANyone tried it in Bulgaria?

My understanding is that if you have enough currency in your UK account, they'll automatically convert the amount you draw.
